Refund Policy & Right of Withdrawal
How cancellation, refunds, and your 14-day right of withdrawal work for Mindoly Plus.
Last updated: 13 June 2026
What this covers
This policy applies to Mindoly Plus, the paid subscription that lifts the limits on your free Mindoly account. Plus is a digital service: you pay monthly or yearly and, in return, get unlimited topics, access to all knowledge worlds, unlimited saved nuggets, and 2x XP for as long as your subscription is active.
Plus does not lock learning content behind a hard paywall. It removes the free-plan limits. Your free account keeps working whether or not you subscribe.
Payments are processed by Stripe through Lovable's connector gateway. Mindoly never sees or stores your card number — we only store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your subscription status. Stripe handles the card data and the billing.
Operator of the service: Tim Geithner (sole proprietorship), Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18, c/o IP-Management #9778, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. Billing questions: support@mindoly.app.
Your 14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your Mindoly Plus subscription within 14 days, without giving any reason. This is your statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer law.
The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded — that is, from the moment your Plus subscription starts.
To exercise this right, send a clear statement that you want to withdraw to support@mindoly.app (for example, a short email saying you withdraw from your Plus subscription). You may use the model withdrawal form, but you are not required to. You can also simply cancel from the billing portal and contact us.
To meet the deadline, it is enough to send your withdrawal notice before the 14-day period expires.
Immediate start and when the right of withdrawal ends
Mindoly Plus is a digital service that you usually want to use right away. So that your Plus benefits become available the moment you subscribe, we ask for your consent to begin providing the service immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period has ended.
At checkout you confirm the following (this is the acknowledgement Stripe Checkout references): "I expressly request that Mindoly Plus begins immediately. I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, and that once Mindoly has begun providing the service at my request I am no longer entitled to a full refund for performance already delivered."
Because of this consent, your right of withdrawal expires once the digital service has been fully provided. If you start using your Plus benefits within the 14-day period, you accept that the service is being performed and your right of withdrawal ends accordingly.
If you withdraw after the service has begun but before it has been fully performed, you may owe a proportionate amount for the part of the service already provided up to the moment you told us you were withdrawing.
How to cancel
You can cancel Mindoly Plus yourself at any time. Open your account, go to billing, and choose to manage your subscription — this opens the Stripe billing portal, where you cancel with a click. No email, phone call, or support ticket is required.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not pro-rate or refund the remaining days of a period you have already paid for, unless a refund is required by law or we agree otherwise.
After you cancel, you will not be charged again. Your card is not billed for any future period.
If you ever cannot reach the billing portal, email support@mindoly.app and we will cancel for you.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel, your Plus benefits stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep unlimited topics, all worlds, unlimited nuggets, and 2x XP until that date, then your account returns to the free plan.
Your learning progress is always kept. Cancelling Plus does not delete your account, your XP, your level, your streak, or your saved nuggets. On the free plan some limits apply again — for example, saved nuggets above the free cap and worlds beyond the free ones become read-only or locked rather than deleted.
XP, levels, and other virtual rewards have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, so cancelling Plus has no effect on any balance you could withdraw — there is none.
You can re-subscribe to Plus at any time and pick up where you left off.
Free trial on the yearly plan
The yearly Plus plan includes a 7-day free trial. During the trial you get the full Plus experience at no charge.
If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged and Plus simply stops at the end of the trial. To avoid the charge, cancel from the billing portal before the 7-day trial period is over.
If you do not cancel during the trial, your paid yearly subscription begins automatically when the trial ends, and your card is charged for the first year.
The monthly plan does not include a trial; billing starts immediately when you subscribe.
Refunds and billing problems
Outside the statutory right of withdrawal described above, Mindoly Plus is generally non-refundable for periods that have already started, because Plus is a digital service you use during the period. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period.
If you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, a failed trial cancellation, or a clear technical fault — contact us and we will investigate and issue a refund where appropriate. We aim to handle billing requests fairly and quickly.
To request a refund or report any billing issue, email support@mindoly.app. Please include the email on your account and, if you have it, the date and amount of the charge so we can find it in Stripe. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe; the time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card provider.
We may decline refunds for abuse — for example, repeated subscribe-use-refund cycles, fraud, or breaches of our Terms. Accounts involved in abuse may be suspended or banned.
Your statutory rights are not affected
Nothing in this policy limits or replaces the rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, including your statutory right of withdrawal and any mandatory warranty or refund rights in your country.
Where this policy and your statutory rights differ, your statutory rights take precedence. This policy describes how we apply those rights and our own voluntary practices on top of them.
If you have a complaint we cannot resolve, you may also be entitled to use out-of-court dispute resolution under applicable EU rules. For any questions about this policy, contact support@mindoly.app.
